Phillip Mackinder was born in New Hampshire and raised in the
snowy upper peninsula of Michigan so it seems only natural that he
should feel right at home practicing on New England Avenue in a city
called Winter Park. Dr. Mackinder graduated with
Honor from Michigan State University and earned his Doctor of
Optometry with Highest Distinction from the Michigan College of
Optometry at Ferris State University. Upon graduation, Dr. Mackinder
moved to Florida and has been a resident of this community for
nearly ten years. You can often find him and his wife Kristina
strolling down Park Avenue or jogging through their neighborhood.
Professionally, Dr. Mackinder serves as Membership Chair for the
Central Florida Society of Optometric Physicians and is active in
the American Optometric Association and the Florida Optometric
Association. His personal interests include cooking, home
renovation, carpentry and international travel. He also stays active
by playing in an adult ice hockey league and running half marathons
and local 5k races. Dr. Mackinder delivers comprehensive eye care
through a combination of compassion, personalized attention, and the
use of state of the art equipment. He has a strong relationship with
local physicians, as well as, a wealth of experience obtained from
nearly a decade working in a multidisciplinary ophthalmic setting.
Dr. Lisa Gibbons is a board certified optometrist practicing in
Central Florida. Her training and
experience
allow her to offer a full scope of optometric services.
After receiving her Bachelors degree from the University of Florida,
Dr. Gibbons earned her Doctor of Optometry degree from Nova
Southeastern University in Fort Lauderdale and graduated with the
highest honors. Dr. Gibbons participated in the Beta Sigma Kappa
Optometric Honor Society and was the recipient of the Bausch and
Lomb Leadership Award and the Cooper Vision’s Contact Lens Award.
Dr. Gibbons promotes industry standards and is an active member of
the American Optometric Association, the Florida Optometric
Association and the Central Florida Society of Optometric Physicians
where she served as the Vice President and Industry Relations Chair.
She takes interest in her local community by participating in
fundraisers for several non-profit organizations. Dr. Gibbons is a
native Floridian and returned to Central Florida after her
graduation. She resides in beautiful Winter Park where she enjoys
spending time with her husband and her two daughters.
